Driving Change: Reducing Environmental Impact Across the TSM Fleet

At TSM, sustainability is embedded in how we operate. As part of our ongoing environmental commitments, we are transitioning our 130-strong vehicle fleet from traditional chemical screen wash to a non-chemical, environmentally responsible alternative.

Conventional screen wash products often contain detergents and additives that can enter drainage systems and local waterways. By switching to a non-chemical solution, TSM is reducing the introduction of potentially harmful substances into the environment while maintaining safe visibility standards for our operatives.

Although screen wash is a routine consumable, the volume used across a large fleet quickly adds up.

This change delivers a meaningful reduction in chemical use and supports our Environmental Policy objectives to prevent pollution and minimise the environmental impact of our operations.

The move also reflects our wider commitment to responsible resource use and aligns with our ISO14001-aligned environmental management system, demonstrating that sustainability is considered in everyday operational decisions, not just long-term strategy.

By making practical changes such as this, TSM continues to reinforce its environmental commitments and contribute positively to the communities and environments in which we operate.
