TSM Again Supports Birmingham Hospice Through Treecycling
TSM was proud to support Birmingham Hospice’s annual Treecycling initiative, which took place over the weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th January, despite challenging winter conditions.

Five TSM operatives volunteered their time to assist with the collections, with two operatives working on Saturday and three on Sunday, using one of our 3.5 tonne vehicles to help remove Christmas trees donated by members of the public. Over the course of the weekend, the team successfully collected more than 150 trees across the local area.

The conditions were far from ideal, with snow and ice making access difficult in some locations. The team encountered slippery roads, tight cul-de-sacs and a few vehicles getting temporarily stuck, but spirits remained high throughout. Despite the weather, the weekend was described as hard work but great fun, with everyone pulling together to get the job done safely.
Treecycling is a popular fundraising activity for Birmingham Hospice, where residents make a donation in exchange for having their Christmas tree collected and recycled responsibly. This year’s campaign has already raised well over £120,000, helping to fund vital hospice care and support services for local people and their families.

We would like to thank Birmingham Hospice for the opportunity to be involved, and our operatives for giving up their time and effort to support such an important cause.
